Subcontractor status hit by tribunal ruling

A ruling in which a subcontractor was deemed to be an employee could affect the employment status and rights of thousands of subcontractors. Andrew Tilson provided his services to transport company Alstom via a limited company, through which he billed on an hourly basis.
