Firms to be hit with workplace parking tax
A new workplace parking tax, set to be introduced in two years’ time, has been slammed by critics as a stealth tax that businesses will pass on to staff.Under the government’s “workplace parking levy”, announced last week, any firm with 11 or more staff parking spaces will be charged £250 a year for each space. This cost could rise to £350 within two years and each company is free to decide whether or not to pass the cost onto employees.
