BT in graduate recruitment U-turn

BT is not abandoning its graduate scheme and will take on 130 university leavers this year, the firm’s director of people and policy told PM.

Caroline Waters denied reports that the telecoms giant would cease graduate recruitment from next year because of economic pressures. She said the firm, which employs more than 100,000 people, would not be taking part in the milkround, the annual tour of universities by companies to promote job opportunities, but they would continue to recruit graduates.
