CIPD issues reward code to tackle executive pay
HR professionals should ensure executive pay packages do not lead to inappropriate risk-taking and that they reflect an organisation’s long term performance, according to new CIPD guidelines.
The institute has published 10 principles, written by reward experts, to support HR directors and remuneration committees in developing sound remuneration policies and practices. These are aimed at helping to address the recent public furore over high levels of executive pay and bankers’ bonuses.
