Employers must play greater role in university funding, says CBI

Employers should sponsor more students through university and give recruitment bonuses to new graduates, according to a new report by business leaders.

A higher education (HE) taskforce led by the CBI says businesses and students will have to pay more in order to safeguard the quality of university provision and offset an inevitable squeeze in public spending.
