Irish employers welcome tax overhaul
Employers have given a cautious welcome to the Commission of Taxation report, which recommended a major overhaul of Ireland’s tax system.The report aims to shift the burden of tax away from employment and onto property and other immobile assets, in order to promote economic activity. The proposal is cost-neutral and is intended to assure a more stable source of income for the government.
