Are you out of touch?

The track Losing Touch by one of my favourite groups, the Killers, could almost be an anthem for the way some organisations are failing to grasp the opportunities that social networking provides. Don’t get me wrong. I realise that using social networking in the workplace carries a number of risks, but it also provides enormous opportunities. Through the creative use of social networking techniques, we have the opportunity to transform the way we attract, develop and engage employees. The price of investing in new technologies can be steep but the cost of falling behind the curve could be catastrophic.
