Men fail to take paternity leave
Many British fathers are not taking up paternity leave and flexible working opportunities because they fear it will damage their careers, research has found.
Forty-five per cent of men do not take their two weeks’ paternity leave after the birth of their child, while two in five would like more flexible hours but are afraid to ask for them, found the survey from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
