Postal workers begin second wave of national strikes

Postal workers began a second wave of national strikes today after unions and management failed to reach a deal over pay, jobs and modernisation.More than 43,000 mail centre staff and drivers walked out from 4am today, according to the Communications Workers Union (CWU). This will be followed tomorrow by a group of 400 workers based in Plymouth, Stockport and Stoke. On Saturday 77,000 delivery and collection staff will take action across the UK.
