BA cabin crew strike ballot to go ahead

The Unite union will press ahead with a strike ballot of British Airways cabin crew after the High Court failed to award an injunction against the airline’s cost cutting measures.

The union said it would “unwillingly” accept changes to work rotas for cabin crew, which BA confirmed would go ahead from 16 November, but it would continue to hold a strike ballot over the issue, which could bring the airline’s operations to a halt over the Christmas period.
