HR isn’t just for the good times
Next Generation HR is one of the most compelling pieces of work undertaken by our professional body. If we get this right, it will influence our thinking, behaviour and actions well into the future. It is this order of magnitude that underlines why we all need to be engaged in determining the future of HR: what we do, how we do it and the legacy we gift to the organisations of which we are a part.
HR has always been about creating the environment, the platform, conditions and ingredients that we believe drive organisational performance and success. In recent times, we have perhaps forgotten these core ingredients in the rush for perceived instant results – in the good times, perhaps we are less vigorous about putting in place the conditions for future success.
