Irish public servants hold national strike
Irish public-service unions have threatened a second national strike on 3 December unless agreement is reached with the government on ways to reduce the public-sector pay bill without touching basic pay.
Over 250,000 public servants withdrew services on Tuesday, 24 November, in the first countrywide public-sector strike in 25 years.
