McDonald’s is working hard to ensure that its 1,200 restaurant managers all have an understanding of “values-based decision-making”, according to Steve Easterbrook, the company’s chief executive for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.
Speaking at the close of the CIPD’s annual conference in Manchester, Easterbrook said: “Only when an organisation has thought about and defined its values in relation to all its stakeholder groups – including customers, staff, shareholders, the community and the environment – will it come up with the best answers, quickly and consistently.”
