Health service sickness levels are 50 per cent more than private sector

The NHS needs to do more to improve staff health and well-being, including tackling depression and common complaints such as back pain, according to an independent review commissioned by the Department of Health.
The NHS Health and Wellbeing report said staff with back problems or those with mental health issues should receive early intervention.
