Ireland faces wave of strikes over public-sector wage cuts
Irish unions have warned of a “sustained campaign of industrial action” if finance minister Brian Lenihan imposes an expected second public-sector wage cut in the budget today.The cuts are likely to be on average around 6-7 per cent, with deeper cuts of up to 15 per cent for the higher paid.
