Men over 50 suffer unemployment crunch

Men aged over 50 have been hit hardest by unemployment during the recession and are in danger of becoming “a lost generation”, the CIPD has warned.

The institute joined forces with the Age and Employment Network, and charities Age Concern and Help the Aged to urge government action to help older jobseekers.
