Amendment to bill in Lords withdrawn

A fast-track attempt to abolish the default retirement age has failed, following a decision by the House of Lords to drop a proposed amendment to the equality bill.
Liberal Democrat peer, Anthony Lester, recently tabled an amendment to the bill in a bid to scrap the default retirement age (DRA) before the forthcoming general election.
