Parties set out pledges to woo employers
The countdown to the general election has kicked off in earnest with spokespeople from the three main parties vowing to cut red tape and proffering business-friendly policies to appeal to employers.
Lord Young, Labour’s employment relations minister; Jonathan Djanogly, Conservative shadow minister for corporate affairs and shadow solicitor general; and John Thurso, Liberal Democrats shadow business minister, debated the issues last week for a CIPD special election podcast.
