Staff engagement moves up the agenda of top firms

Employee engagement is becoming more important for UK firms as the country emerges from recession, according to a survey of top business leaders.Although two-thirds of the country’s leading firms admitted to reducing staff numbers and cutting or freezing salaries in the past year, attracting, motivating and retaining the best employees was the factor most cited by executives for boosting their future business success.
