BBC’s Countryfile faces ageism claim

A former BBC presenter on Countryfile is suing the broadcaster for age and sex discrimination after she and three other female presenters were removed from the programme.

Award-winning journalist Miriam O'Reilly, aged 52, was dropped from the show in 2008 after it was revamped and moved from a Sunday morning time slot to prime-time viewing.
