Civil servants vote to strike over redundancy pay

More than a quarter of a million civil servants are set to walk out in a two-day strike in early March, in protest over changes to redundancy pay.Members of the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) voted in favour of strike action by 63 per cent to 37 per cent in results revealed last night. The walkout will take place on 8-9 March.
