A British Airways employee who was prevented from wearing a crucifix at work has lost her appeal over her claim of religious discrimination.Nadia Eweida was sent home from her job on BA’s check-in desks in 2006 after she refused to remove the cross-shaped pendant from around her neck. She launched the legal challenge after being told the item breached the airline’s uniform policy. The Employment Appeals Tribunal had previously rejected Eweida’s case and accepted BA’s argument that the policy was justified.
