Fall in eastern European migration to UK
The number of immigrants from central and eastern Europe coming to work in the UK has continued to fall, according to latest official figures.Provisional data from the Office for National Statistics show that there were 68,000 arrivals from the new EU states in the year to June 2009, compared to 100,000 for the 12 months before that.
