Fujitsu dispute ends as union deal struck

A deal has been struck between Fujitsu and the union Unite, bringing to an end a four-month dispute over jobs, pay and pensions.Workers at the IT services firm have staged a total of 10 days of strike action this winter after it announced the closure of its final salary pension scheme, a pay freeze and up to 1,200 redundancies. But talks brokered by the conciliation service Acas have now produced an agreement, and a ballot of union members was resolved four to one in favour of ending the industrial action.
