Accountancy firm Grant Thornton has trained 14 of its partners to be certified coaches, in a year-long programme aimed at developing leadership skills.

The move is an acknowledgement that the firm is “only as good as its people” and that people management in professional services firms is not always done well, Sacha Romanovitch, HR director at Grant Thornton, told PM .
