HR manager flies out on Haiti mission

An HR professional at a leading charity has flown out to the earthquake-hit country of Haiti to assist the people management side of the relief effort.

Christine Williamson, HR services manager at People in Aid, has entered into a six-week secondment with Tearfund as HR manager for their disaster management team. She will be based in Port-au-Prince and will be writing a regular blog on her experiences for the CIPD, focusing on HR and people management issues as well as general updates as she sees them from the field.
