HR wary on plans for public-sector co-ops
The Conservative Party’s plans to allow public-sector workers to form “co-operatives” and take over the management of their organisations have had a muted reception in HR quarters.
George Osborne, the shadow chancellor, said that a Tory government would give staff at underperforming hospitals, schools and job centres the power to club together and run them as not-for-profit social enterprises.
