Irish unions threaten to escalate public-sector dispute
Public-sector unions in Ireland plan to escalate their industrial action against pay cuts from the beginning of March unless there is some form of re-engagement with the government in the interim.While informal contacts continue between union leaders and government officials, to date there has been no move to formally re-open talks.
