Funding cuts take their toll

Up to 500 jobs are set to be axed at King’s College London following the government’s latest cut to university budgets.
The university is making 205 posts redundant, and placing 300 more at risk. The news comes in the wake of this week’s government announcement that higher education funding will be slashed by £900 million.
