Proud to be ‘an HR person’

I simply can’t continue my day without responding to your feature about Lucy Adams, director of people at the BBC ( PM Interview, 28 January). I have a connection with the corporation, as for 10 years I was a regional HR manager there. I’m disappointed at the flavour of Adams’ words. To say one of her greatest strengths is “not being an HR person” is incredible. I’m tired of people who feel the need to belittle their profession in order to subtly elevate themselves.
