Programme for school leavers will be ‘alternative to mainstream education’

Tesco has launched an "earn-while-you-learn" management scheme for 16-year-old school leavers, to attract talent from outside the traditional education system.
Recruitment for management positions is often based on A-level and degree qualifications, but the supermarket’s new scheme will enable recruits to gain qualifications equivalent to three A-levels.
