Luton plant to suffer cuts butMerseyside production is protected

Bosses at vehicle manufacturer Vauxhall confirmed today that over 500 jobs will go at its Luton van plant and offices.
Chief executive Nick Reilly said 369 jobs would go from the manufacturing plant, 15 more than were announced last November. A further 154 administrative and sales posts will also go.
