A fascinating debate about retirement funds – no, really

I went to an interesting and informative pre-election briefing on pensions last week, organised by the Pensions Policy Institute. Yes, I did just use the words “pensions” and “interesting” in the same sentence. Angela Eagle, minister for pensions and the ageing society, was joined on stage by her opposition “shadows”, Nigel Waterson for the Conservatives and Steve Webb for the Liberal Democrats, to present their respective policies and then enter into a lively debate with the invited audience.
