BA staff vote for seven days of strikes

BA cabin crew have announced seven days of strikes later this month following the decision by airline management to reject an offer from the union Unite on pay and conditions.

Unite said it understood the "need for change" and had proposed a cost-cutting package of pay cuts and part-time working it said was worth £63 million. But the airline rejected the package earlier this week, saying it would not save as much as Unite claimed and would involve pay cuts for crew members.
