Budget 2010: Retirement age set to go, but no more help for older workers
The budget failed to offer enough support for older workers and unemployed over-50s, the CIPD has warned.While Alistair Darling confirmed a one-year extension of the Young Person’s Guarantee scheme – which promises training or a job for 18-to-24-year-olds out of work for more than six months – he offered no such measure to tackle unemployment among older age groups.
