How to... establish ROI for coaching
Coaching seems to have weathered the recession relatively well, but there is an increased focus on value for money – are we getting the return on investment that coaching promises? Our experience and research indicate the following keys to achieving a high ROI on coaching.
One myth is that paper qualifications in coaching can reliably indicate competence. In truth, they are no more than a hygiene factor. Other myths are that you get what you pay for. In general, you would expect to pay more for behavioural/transformational coaches, or for an executive coach. But remember, previous experience as a top executive does not necessarily equate to strong coaching skills.
