In defence of Lucy Adams

I have followed with interest the excitement caused by Lucy Adams’ comments about “not being an HR person”. Unlike Connie Hevron (Letters, 25 February), I did not take Adams’ statement to be belittling to HR. Adams qualifies her comment by explaining that she approaches her leadership role from the angle of being someone responsible for HR. At the level at which Adams works, what is wrong with that?
