Police forces should be made to share HR, argues CBI

The CBI has called for more police forces to share back office functions including HR and IT, as a compulsory measure to save money.

The UK's leading business organisation also advocated greater private-sector involvement in providing support services, such as running custody suites, to boost the number of police officers available for front-line duties.
