Public-sector HR needs smarter skills analysis to manage job cuts
Local authority HR “needs more robust information” about the existing skills base and future skills needs to contribute effectively during the imminent public sector cuts, CIPD Scotland conference delegates were told.
The warning came from Kate O’Hagan, head of organisational development and capacity building for the Improvement Service, which works with the 32 local councils in Scotland.
