Shared services offers blueprint for change, says new PPMA president

HR has “a golden opportunity” to shape change in the public sector through implementing shared services, according to Dean Shoesmith, the new president of the Public Sector People Managers’ Association (PPMA).As the public sector re-assesses its workforce models and provision of services in the face of huge public spending cuts, “HR should be a key architect in that change and transformation”, Shoesmith told PM .
