Andrew Powles appointed director of HR at the Highways Agency

Andrew Powles has become director of HR at the Highways Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Transport. Powles was previously with the Identity and Passport Service, an executive agency of the Home Office, as executive director for HR and organisational development. Powles said: "I'm greatly looking forward to continuing the delivery of high-quality customer focused HR services, and working collaboratively with colleagues across the Civil Service to deliver more efficient, cost effective HR. All this will support the Highways Agency vision of being the world's leading road operator."
