Con-Lib government must maintain engagement throughout merger
Bringing two organisations together is no mean feat. Over 80 per cent of mergers are reported not to achieve the improved value that they set out to do. So how about two political parties?
I have often wondered if there is such a thing as a merger. There is always a more powerful player and, during the rationalising of policies, benefits and teams, the weaker part is often consumed by the stronger. So will Nick Clegg be able to hold on to the Lib Dem way, or will he be part of a Conservative feast?
