Government support for skills in manufacturing is the key to maintaining UK jobs in the sector during the recovery, the HR director of Jaguar Land Rover has said.Des Thurlby, HR director at the UK vehicle manufacturer, called on the coalition government to support the development of engineering and technology skills following the recent announcement that the company was creating more than 1,000 jobs.
