Freed enterprise

An old friend – a former client – phoned me recently with more conviction and less tiredness in her voice than usual. “I’ve broken free at last,” she announced breezily.

I assumed that she, like many who celebrate freedom, had cut loose from the system, given up her role as MD and established a new life with greater fulfilment.
