Whistle-blower’s case to be heard
A whistle-blower at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) who complained about the treatment of local staff is having his tribunal case heard this week.Robert Stevens was overseas security manager for the FCO from May 2007, and was posted to Baghdad, Kabul and Helmand Province. While in Afghanistan, he raised concerns about how locally hired Afghan staff, such as interpreters, received less protection than those from the UK.
