My first real taste of HR and managing people was in sales management at Barclays. I was then asked to be part of a team that was rolling out performance management across the bank for the first time. I really embraced that role and continued to work in the HR function, predominantly around learning and performance. I’d just finished a huge culture change programme when I was approached to work in the diversity field, which really interested me.
