Non-banks told to defer bonuses and pay out in shares

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has announced plans to widen the reach of its bonus and pay code to include most hedge funds, investment bankers and building societies.
The tough remuneration code, which restricts how and when employers can pay remuneration, has been extended from 27 major banks to include more than 2,500 financial firms.
