Staff still feeling pain of recession

Workers still feel they are in the grip of the economic downturn with low job satisfaction and high insecurity, research from the CIPD has revealed.Data from the quarterly Employee Outlook survey of 2,000 employees showed that public-sector workers now feel they are the worst hit. In this sector, job satisfaction (the percentage satisfied minus the percentage dissatisfied) has fallen by three points during the past quarter to stand at +31, compared with +33 in the private sector and +53 in the voluntary sector.
