University employees face pension reforms
Changes to the main final salary pension scheme for university workers are imminent as its negotiating body backed employer-led reforms.Employers had called for reductions to the cost and financial risks of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) after increased life expectancy and an uncertain investment climate led to a reported £17 billion deficit.
