Compensation culture drives unemployment, claims Lord Young

Britain’s compensation culture is pushing up unemployment, the government’s health and safety adviser has claimed.

Lord Young said that jobs were being lost as businesses were forced to spend exorbitant amounts defending unjustified claims brought by “ambulance-chasing” lawyers.
